Psalm 104:24-27
New Living Translation
24 O Lord, what a variety of things you have made!
In wisdom you have made them all.
The earth is full of your creatures.
25 Here is the ocean, vast and wide,
teeming with life of every kind,
both large and small.
26 See the ships sailing along,
and Leviathan,[a] which you made to play in the sea.
27 They all depend on you
to give them food as they need it.
Footnotes
- 104:26 The identification of Leviathan is disputed, ranging from an earthly creature to a mythical sea monster in ancient literature.
Psalm 95:5
New Living Translation
5 The sea belongs to him, for he made it.
His hands formed the dry land, too.
Job 38:8-11
New Living Translation
8 “Who kept the sea inside its boundaries
as it burst from the womb,
9 and as I clothed it with clouds
and wrapped it in thick darkness?
10 For I locked it behind barred gates,
limiting its shores.
11 I said, ‘This far and no farther will you come.
Here your proud waves must stop!’
