Yes, our God is merciful.

I was brought low, and He saved me.

For ^(D)the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.

^8 (E)For You have delivered my soul from death,
My eyes from tears,
And my feet from falling.

^34 (A)When He slew them, then they sought Him;
And they returned and sought earnestly for God.
³⁵ Then they remembered that ^(B)God was their rock,
And the Most High God ^(C)their Redeemer.

⁴ I ^(A)sought the Lord, and He heard me,
And delivered me from all my fears.
⁵ They looked to Him and were radiant,
And their faces were not ashamed.
⁶ This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him,
And saved him out of all his troubles.

⁸ I cried out to You, O Lord;
And to the Lord I made supplication:
⁹ “What profit is there in my blood,
When I go down to the pit?
^(A)Will the dust praise You?
Will it declare Your truth?
¹⁰ Hear, O Lord, and have mercy on me;
Lord, be my helper!”

^11 (B)You have turned for me my mourning into dancing;
You have put off ^[a]my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,
¹² To the end that my ^[b]glory may sing praise to You and not be silent.
O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.
