³³ And you I will scatter among the nations, and I will unsheathe the sword against you; your land shall be a desolation and your cities a waste.^(A)

²³ Moreover, I swore to them in the wilderness that I would scatter them among the nations and disperse them through the countries,^(A)

⁶⁴ The Lord will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other, and there you shall serve other gods, of wood and stone, which neither you nor your ancestors have known.^{(A) 65} Among those nations you shall find no ease, no resting place for the sole of your foot. There the Lord will give you a trembling heart, failing eyes, and a languishing spirit.^(B)

³⁷ You shall become an object of horror, a proverb, and a byword among all the peoples where the Lord will lead you.^(A)

²⁶ I call heaven and earth to witness against you today that you will soon utterly perish from the land that you are crossing the Jordan to occupy; you will not live long on it but will be utterly destroyed.^{(A) 27} The Lord will scatter you among the peoples; only a few of you will be left among the nations where the Lord will lead you.^(B)
