¹¹ For the Lord has ransomed Jacob
    and has redeemed him from hands too strong for him.^(A)
12 They shall come and sing aloud on the height of Zion,
    and they shall be radiant over the goodness of the Lord,
over the grain, the wine, and the oil,
    and over the young of the flock and the herd;
their life shall become like a watered garden,
    and they shall never languish again.^(B)

¹¹ Then they^[a] remembered the days of old,
    of Moses his servant.^[b]
Where is the one who brought them up out of the sea
    with the shepherds of his flock?
Where is the one who put within them
    his holy spirit,^(A)
12 who caused his glorious arm
    to march at the right hand of Moses,
who divided the waters before them
    to make for himself an everlasting name,^(B)
13     who led them through the depths?
Like a horse in the desert,
    they did not stumble.^(C)
14 Like cattle that go down into the valley,
    the spirit of the Lord gave them rest.
Thus you led your people,
    to make for yourself a glorious name.^(D)

¹⁰ And the ransomed of the Lord shall return
    and come to Zion with singing;
everlasting joy shall be upon their heads;
    they shall obtain joy and gladness,
    and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.^(A)

¹⁰ Was it not you who dried up the sea,
    the waters of the great deep;
who made the depths of the sea a way
    for the redeemed to cross over?^(A)
11 So the ransomed of the Lord shall return
    and come to Zion with rejoicing;
everlasting joy shall be upon their heads;
    they shall obtain joy and gladness,
    and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.^(B)

⁸ Yet he saved them for his name’s sake,
    so that he might make known his mighty power.^(A)
9 He rebuked the Red Sea,^[a] and it became dry;
    he led them through the deep as through a desert.^(B)
10 So he saved them from the hand of the foe
    and delivered them from the hand of the enemy.^(C)
11 The waters covered their adversaries;
    not one of them was left.^(D)
12 Then they believed his words;
    they sang his praise.^(E)
