⁷ In speaking of the angels he says,

¹¹ As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire^(A) and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven^(B) in a whirlwind.^(C)

¹⁴ Are not all angels ministering spirits^(A) sent to serve those who will inherit^(B) salvation?^(C)

¹⁷ And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots^(A) of fire all around Elisha.

⁸ (The Sadducees say that there is no resurrection,^(A) and that there are neither angels nor spirits, but the Pharisees believe all these things.)

¹³ The appearance of the living creatures was like burning coals^(A) of fire or like torches. Fire moved back and forth among the creatures; it was bright, and lightning^(B) flashed out of it.
