³⁴ May my ^(A)meditation be pleasing to him,
    for I rejoice in the Lord.

¹⁷ Though the fig tree should not blossom,
    nor fruit be on the vines,
the produce of the olive fail
    and the fields yield no food,
the flock be cut off from the fold
    and there be no herd in the stalls,
^18 (A)yet I will rejoice in the Lord;
    ^(B)I will take joy in the God of my salvation.

² but his ^(A)delight is in the law^[a] of the Lord,
    and on his ^(B)law he meditates day and night.

¹²⁷ Therefore I ^(A)love your commandments
    above gold, above fine gold.
¹²⁸ Therefore I consider all your precepts to be right;
    I hate every ^(B)false way.

^{47     (A)}and my ^(B)spirit rejoices in ^(C)God my Savior,

¹⁵ I will ^(A)meditate on your precepts
    and fix my eyes on your ^(B)ways.
¹⁶ I will ^(C)delight in your statutes;
    I will not forget your word.

¹¹¹ Your testimonies are ^(A)my heritage forever,
    for they are ^(B)the joy of my heart.
