⁸ Every morning^(A) I will put to silence
    all the wicked^(B) in the land;
I will cut off every evildoer^(C)
    from the city of the Lord.^(D)

¹⁰ who says, “I will cut off the horns of all the wicked,
    but the horns of the righteous will be lifted up.”^(A)

“‘Administer justice^(A) every morning;
    rescue from the hand of the oppressor^(B)
    the one who has been robbed,
or my wrath will break out and burn like fire^(C)
    because of the evil^(D) you have done—
    burn with no one to quench^(E) it.

¹² Kings detest wrongdoing,
    for a throne is established through righteousness.^(A)

⁸ When a king sits on his throne to judge,^(A)
    he winnows out all evil with his eyes.^(B)

⁸ As we have heard,
    so we have seen
in the city of the Lord Almighty,
    in the city of our God:
God makes her secure
    forever.^[a](A)

⁹ Hear this, you leaders of Jacob,
    you rulers of Israel,
who despise justice
    and distort all that is right;^(A)
