² But ^(A)his delight is in the law of the Lord,
^(B)And in His law he ^[a]meditates day and night.

⁹² Unless Your law had been my delight,
I would then have perished in my affliction.

^11 (A)Your word I have hidden in my heart,
That I might not sin against You.

⁹⁷ Oh, how I love Your law!
^(A)It is my meditation all the day.
⁹⁸ You, through Your commandments, make me ^(B)wiser than my enemies;
For they are ever with me.
⁹⁹ I have more understanding than all my teachers,
^(C)For Your testimonies are my meditation.

¹⁶ Your words were found, and I ^(A)ate them,
And ^(B)Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart;
For I am called by Your name,
O Lord God of hosts.

¹⁵ I will meditate on Your precepts,
And ^[a]contemplate Your ways.
¹⁶ I will ^(A)delight myself in Your statutes;
I will not forget Your word.

³⁵ Make me walk in the path of Your commandments,
For I delight in it.
