^13 (A)Arise, Lord, confront him, ^(B)make him bow down;
^(C)Save my soul from the wicked with ^(D)Your sword,

²⁷ Add ^(A)guilt to their guilt,
And ^(B)may they not come into ^(C)Your righteousness.
²⁸ May they be ^(D)wiped out of the ^(E)book of life,
And may they not be ^[a](F)recorded with the righteous.

⁶ Appoint a wicked person over him,
And may an ^[b](C)accuser stand at his right hand.
⁷ When he is judged, may he ^(D)come out guilty,
And may his ^(E)prayer become sin.
⁸ May ^(F)his days be few;
May ^(G)another take his office.
⁹ May his ^(H)children be fatherless,
And his ^(I)wife a widow.
¹⁰ May his ^(J)children wander about and beg;
And may they ^(K)seek sustenance ^[c]far from their ruined homes.

^16 (A)Fill their faces with dishonor,
So that they will seek Your name, Lord.
¹⁷ May they be ^(B)ashamed and dismayed forever,
And may they be humiliated and perish,
¹⁸ So that they will ^(C)know that ^(D)You alone, whose name is the Lord,
Are the ^(E)Most High over all the earth.
