¹⁷ Though the fig tree does not bud
    and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
    and the fields produce no food,^(A)
though there are no sheep in the pen
    and no cattle in the stalls,^(B)
18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord,^(C)
    I will be joyful in God my Savior.^(D)

⁸ Awake, my soul!
    Awake, harp and lyre!^(A)
    I will awaken the dawn.

¹⁰ I delight greatly in the Lord;
    my soul rejoices^(A) in my God.
For he has clothed me with garments of salvation
    and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness,^(B)
as a bridegroom adorns his head^(C) like a priest,
    and as a bride^(D) adorns herself with her jewels.

¹² What shall I return to the Lord
    for all his goodness^(A) to me?

¹³ I will lift up the cup of salvation
    and call on the name^(B) of the Lord.
¹⁴ I will fulfill my vows^(C) to the Lord
    in the presence of all his people.

¹⁵ Precious in the sight^(D) of the Lord
    is the death of his faithful servants.^(E)
16 Truly I am your servant, Lord;^(F)
    I serve you just as my mother did;^(G)
    you have freed me from my chains.^(H)

¹⁷ I will sacrifice a thank offering^(I) to you
    and call on the name of the Lord.
¹⁸ I will fulfill my vows^(J) to the Lord
    in the presence of all his people,
¹⁹ in the courts^(K) of the house of the Lord—
    in your midst, Jerusalem.^(L)
