⁶ Praise be to the Lord,^(A)
    for he has heard my cry for mercy.^(B)

¹⁹ Then they cried^(A) to the Lord in their trouble,
    and he saved them^(B) from their distress.
²⁰ He sent out his word^(C) and healed them;^(D)
    he rescued^(E) them from the grave.^(F)
21 Let them give thanks^(G) to the Lord for his unfailing love^(H)
    and his wonderful deeds^(I) for mankind.
²² Let them sacrifice thank offerings^(J)
    and tell of his works^(K) with songs of joy.^(L)

³³ The Lord hears the needy^(A)
    and does not despise his captive people.

³⁴ Let heaven and earth praise him,
    the seas and all that move in them,^(B)

    for he showed me the wonders of his love^(B)
    when I was in a city under siege.^(C)
22 In my alarm^(D) I said,
    “I am cut off^(E) from your sight!”

    when I called to you for help.
