28 To You I will cry, O Lord my Rock:
^(A)Do not be silent to me,
^(B)Lest, if You are silent to me,
I become like those who go down to the pit.

² The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
My God, my ^[a]strength, ^(A)in whom I will trust;
My shield and the ^[b]horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

¹² Let us swallow them alive like ^[a]Sheol,
And whole, ^(A)like those who go down to the Pit;

⁴ I am counted with those who ^(A)go^[a] down to the pit;
^(B)I am like a man who has no strength,
^5 [b]Adrift among the dead,
Like the slain who lie in the grave,
Whom You remember no more,
And who are cut off from Your hand.
