The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.
    The world and all its people belong to him.
For he laid the earth’s foundation on the seas
    and built it on the ocean depths.

    the world, and all who live in it;(B)
for he founded it on the seas
    and established it on the waters.(C)

Who may climb the mountain of the Lord?
    Who may stand in his holy place?
Only those whose hands and hearts are pure,
    who do not worship idols
    and never tell lies.

Who may ascend the mountain(A) of the Lord?
    Who may stand in his holy place?(B)
The one who has clean hands(C) and a pure heart,(D)
    who does not trust in an idol(E)
    or swear by a false god.[a]
