⁸ Smoke rose from his nostrils;^(A)
    consuming fire^(B) came from his mouth,
    burning coals^(C) blazed out of it.

⁹ When you appear for battle,
    you will burn them up as in a blazing furnace.
The Lord will swallow them up in his wrath,
    and his fire will consume them.^(A)

¹¹ “I overthrew some of you
    as I overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.^(A)
You were like a burning stick^(B) snatched from the fire,
    yet you have not returned to me,”
declares the Lord.^(C)

¹⁰ A river of fire^(A) was flowing,
    coming out from before him.^(B)
Thousands upon thousands attended him;
    ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him.
The court was seated,
    and the books^(C) were opened.

⁵ Part your heavens,^(A) Lord, and come down;^(B)
    touch the mountains, so that they smoke.^(C)
6 Send forth lightning^(D) and scatter^(E) the enemy;
    shoot your arrows^(F) and rout them.

⁶ On the wicked he will rain
    fiery coals and burning sulfur;^(A)
    a scorching wind^(B) will be their lot.
