144 Blessed be the Lord my Rock,
^(A)Who trains my hands for war,
And my fingers for battle—

^34 (A)He teaches my hands to make war,
So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.

² The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
My God, my ^[a]strength, ^(A)in whom I will trust;
My shield and the ^[b]horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

³⁵ He teaches my hands ^[a]to make war,
So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.

³ For ^(A)they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword,
Nor did their own arm save them;
But it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance,
^(B)Because You favored them.
