    so our bones have been scattered at the mouth^(C) of the grave.”

“For your sake we face death all day long;
    we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”^[a](A)

⁵ But there they are, overwhelmed with dread,
    where there was nothing to dread.^(A)
God scattered the bones^(B) of those who attacked you;^(C)
    you put them to shame,^(D) for God despised them.^(E)
