⁴ Do not turn my heart to any evil,
    to busy myself with wicked deeds
in company with those who work iniquity;
    do not let me eat of their delicacies.^(A)

¹³     And do not bring us to the time of trial,^[a]
        but rescue us from the evil one.^[b](A)

³⁶ Turn my heart to your decrees
    and not to selfish gain.^(A)

¹⁷ Why, O Lord, do you let us stray from your ways
    and let our heart harden, so that we do not fear you?
Turn back for the sake of your servants,
    the tribes that are your heritage.^(A)

¹⁷ Therefore come out from them,
    and be separate from them, says the Lord,
and touch nothing unclean;
    then I will welcome you,^(A)
