¹⁶ The trees of the Lord^(A) are well watered,
    the cedars of Lebanon^(B) that he planted.
¹⁷ There the birds^(C) make their nests;
    the stork has its home in the junipers.
¹⁸ The high mountains belong to the wild goats;^(D)
    the crags are a refuge for the hyrax.^(E)

¹⁹ He made the moon to mark the seasons,^(F)
    and the sun^(G) knows when to go down.
²⁰ You bring darkness,^(H) it becomes night,^(I)
    and all the beasts of the forest^(J) prowl.
²¹ The lions roar for their prey^(K)
    and seek their food from God.^(L)
22 The sun rises, and they steal away;
    they return and lie down in their dens.^(M)
23 Then people go out to their work,^(N)
    to their labor until evening.^(O)

²⁴ How many are your works,^(P) Lord!
    In wisdom you made^(Q) them all;
    the earth is full of your creatures.^(R)
