28 Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim,
Whose glorious beauty is a fading flower
Which is at the head of the ^[a]verdant valleys,
To those who are overcome with wine!

¹⁶ Your fierceness has deceived you,
The ^(A)pride of your heart,
O you who dwell in the clefts of the rock,
Who hold the height of the hill!
