¹² I wisdom dwell with prudence,
and find out knowledge of witty inventions.
¹³ The fear of the Lord is to hate evil:
pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
¹⁴ Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom:
I am understanding; I have strength.
¹⁵ By me kings reign,
and princes decree justice.
¹⁶ By me princes rule, and nobles,
even all the judges of the earth.
¹⁷ I love them that love me;
and those that seek me early shall find me.
¹⁸ Riches and honour are with me;
yea, durable riches and righteousness.

²⁰ They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the Lord:
    but such as are upright in their way are his delight.

² A good man obtaineth favour of the Lord:
    but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.

²² Lying lips are abomination to the Lord:
    but they that deal truly are his delight.

³¹ He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker:
    but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.

⁸ The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord:
    but the prayer of the upright is his delight.

⁹ The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the Lord:
    but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness.

³⁰ The blueness of a wound cleanseth away evil:
    so do stripes the inward parts of the belly.

³ To do justice and judgment
    is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.

²¹ He that followeth after righteousness and mercy
    findeth life, righteousness, and honour.

⁴ By humility and the fear of the Lord
    are riches, and honour, and life.
