^26 [a]Make level the path of thy feet,
And let all thy ways be ^[b]established.
²⁷ Turn not to the right hand nor to the left:
Remove thy foot from evil.

²⁶ Evil devices are an abomination to Jehovah;
But ^[a]pleasant words are pure.

² All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes;
But Jehovah weigheth the spirits.

⁹ A man’s heart deviseth his way;
But Jehovah directeth his steps.

²⁵ There is a way which ^[a]seemeth right unto a man,
But the end thereof are the ways of death.

³³ The lot is cast into the lap;
But the whole disposing thereof is of Jehovah.

² Also, ^[a]that the soul be without knowledge is not good;
And he that hasteth with his feet ^[b]sinneth.

²¹ There are many devices in a man’s heart;
But the counsel of Jehovah, that shall stand.

²² Say not thou, I will recompense evil:
Wait for Jehovah, and he will save thee.

²⁷ The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination;
How much more, when he bringeth it ^[a]with a wicked mind!
