^9 (A)Honor the Lord from your wealth
And from the ^(B)first of all your produce;
¹⁰ So your ^(C)barns will be filled with plenty
And your ^(D)vats will overflow with new wine.

^2 [a](A)Ill-gotten gains do not profit,
But righteousness delivers from death.
³ The Lord ^(B)will not allow the ^[b]righteous to hunger,
But He ^(C)will ^[c]reject the craving of the wicked.
⁴ Poor is he who works with a negligent hand,
But the ^(D)hand of the diligent makes rich.

¹⁵ The ^(A)rich man’s wealth is his ^[a]fortress,
The ^(B)ruin of the poor is their poverty.

²² It is the ^(A)blessing of the Lord that makes rich,
And He adds no sorrow to it.

^4 (A)Riches do not profit in the day of wrath,
But ^(B)righteousness delivers from death.
