⁷ When a wicked man dies, his ^(A)hope will perish,
And the ^(B)expectation of vigorous men perishes.

²² A ^(A)glad heart ^[a]is good medicine,
But a broken spirit ^(B)dries up the bones.

¹⁰ The ^(A)name of Yahweh is a ^(B)strong tower;
The righteous runs into it and is ^(C)set securely on high.
¹¹ A ^(D)rich man’s wealth is his strong city,
And like a high wall in his own delusion.

^3 (A)By wisdom a house is built,
And by discernment it is firmly established;

⁵ A ^(A)wise man is ^[a]strong,
And a man of knowledge strengthens his power.
