⁵ Trust in Jehovah with all thy heart,
And lean not upon thine own understanding:
⁶ In all thy ways acknowledge him,
And he will ^[a]direct thy paths.
⁷ Be not wise in thine own eyes;
Fear Jehovah, and depart from evil:
⁸ It will be health to thy navel,
And ^[b]marrow to thy bones.

¹² There is a way which ^[a]seemeth right unto a man;
But the end thereof are the ways of death.

^3 [a]Commit thy works unto Jehovah,
And thy purposes shall be established.

²⁰ He that ^[a]giveth heed unto the word shall find good;
And whoso trusteth in Jehovah, happy is he.

² A fool hath no delight in understanding,
But only that his heart may reveal itself.

⁴ The words of a man’s mouth are as deep waters;
^[a]The wellspring of wisdom is as a flowing brook.

¹⁰ The name of Jehovah is a strong tower;
The righteous runneth into it, and ^[a]is safe.

³ The foolishness of man subverteth his way;
And his heart fretteth against Jehovah.

²⁴ A man’s goings are of Jehovah;
How then can man understand his way?

²² A wise man scaleth the city of the mighty,
And bringeth down the strength of the confidence thereof.
