^5 (A)Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And ^(B)do not lean on your own understanding.
⁶ In all your ways ^(C)acknowledge Him,
And He will ^(D)make your paths straight.

²⁸ One who ^(A)trusts in his riches will fall,
But ^(B)the righteous will flourish like the green leaf.

²⁰ One who pays attention to the word will ^(A)find good,
And ^(B)blessed is one who trusts in the Lord.

^24 (A)A man’s steps are ordained by the Lord;
How then can a person understand his way?

²² A ^(A)wise person scales the city of the mighty
And brings down the ^[a]stronghold in which they trust.

³¹ The ^(A)horse is prepared for the day of battle,
But the ^(B)victory belongs to the Lord.

²⁵ An ^[a]arrogant person ^(A)stirs up strife,
But one who ^(B)trusts in the Lord ^(C)will ^[b]prosper.
²⁶ One who ^(D)trusts in his own heart is a fool,
But one who walks wisely will flee to safety.

²⁵ The ^(A)fear of man ^[a]brings a snare,
But one who ^(B)trusts in the Lord will be protected.
