³⁴ Though ^(A)He scoffs at the scoffers,
Yet ^(B)He gives grace to the humble.

⁷ He who ^(A)disciplines a scoffer receives disgrace for himself,
And he who reproves a wicked man receives injury for himself.
^8 (B)Do not reprove a scoffer, lest he hate you,
^(C)Reprove a wise man and he will love you.

¹² If you are wise, you are wise ^(A)for yourself,
And if you ^(B)scoff, you alone will bear it.

13 A ^(A)wise son accepts his father’s discipline,
But a ^(B)scoffer does not listen to rebuke.

⁶ A scoffer seeks wisdom and finds none,
But knowledge is easy to one who has understanding.

¹² A ^(A)scoffer does not love one who reproves him,
He will not go to the wise.

⁵ He who mocks the ^(A)poor reproaches his Maker;
He who is ^(B)glad at disaster will not go unpunished.
