¹⁶A gracious woman takes hold of honor,
but ruthless men take hold of riches.^[a]

Proverbs 11:16 The Greek text has a longer double proverb here: A gracious woman takes hold of honor, ⎣and she who hates virtue sets up a throne for dishonor. The lazy become destitute,⎦ but ruthless men take hold of riches.

¹⁶A woman of grace receives honor,
but the ruthless gets wealth.

²⁹A violent man entices his neighbor.
He leads him on a way that is not good.

²⁹A person of violence will entice his neighbor
and cause him to walk on a way that is not good.
