Proverbs 3:31-32

³¹Don’t envy the man of violence.
Choose none of his ways.
³²For the perverse is an abomination to Yahweh,
but his friendship is with the upright.

Proverbs 3:31-32

New International Version

³¹Do not envy^(A) the violent
or choose any of their ways.

³²For the Lord detests the perverse^(B)
but takes the upright into his confidence.^(C)

⁷The violence of the wicked will drive them away,
because they refuse to do what is right.

⁷The violence of the wicked will drag them away,^(A)
for they refuse to do what is right.

²⁹A wicked man hardens his face;
but as for the upright, he establishes his ways.

²⁹The wicked put up a bold front,
but the upright give thought to their ways.^(A)
