^9 (A)Honor the Lord with your possessions,
And with the firstfruits of all your increase;

And your vats will overflow with new wine.

^(B)But righteousness delivers from death.
^3 (C)The Lord will not allow the righteous soul to famish,
But He casts away the desire of the wicked.

^4 (D)He who has a slack hand becomes poor,
But ^(E)the hand of the diligent makes rich.

¹⁵ The ^(A)rich man’s wealth is his strong city;
The destruction of the poor is their poverty.

^22 (A)The blessing of the Lord makes one rich,
And He adds no sorrow with it.

^28 (A)He who trusts in his riches will fall,
But ^(B)the righteous will flourish like foliage.

^7 (A)There is one who makes himself rich, yet has nothing;
And one who makes himself poor, yet has great riches.

⁸ The ransom of a man’s life is his riches,
But the poor does not hear rebuke.

^11 (A)Wealth gained by dishonesty will be diminished,
But he who gathers by labor will increase.
