^33 (A)The Lord's curse is on the house of the wicked,
    but he ^(B)blesses the dwelling of the righteous.
³⁴ Toward the ^(C)scorners he ^(D)is scornful,
    ^(E)but to the humble he gives favor.^[a]
35 The wise will inherit honor,
    but fools get^[b] disgrace.

^3 (A)The Lord does not let the righteous go hungry,
    ^(B)but he thwarts the craving of the wicked.

^22 (A)The blessing of the Lord makes rich,
    and he adds no sorrow with it.^[a]

^24 (A)What the wicked dreads ^(B)will come upon him,
    but ^(C)the desire of the righteous will be granted.
²⁵ When ^(D)the tempest passes, the wicked is no more,
    but ^(E)the righteous is established forever.

^28 (A)The hope of the righteous brings joy,
    ^(B)but the expectation of the wicked will perish.
^29 (C)The way of the Lord is a stronghold to the blameless,
    but destruction to evildoers.
^30 (D)The righteous will never be removed,
    but ^(E)the wicked will not dwell in the land.

^3 (A)The integrity of the upright guides them,
    ^(B)but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them.

⁵ The righteousness of the blameless ^(A)keeps his way straight,
    but the wicked falls by his own wickedness.
^6 (B)The righteousness of the upright delivers them,
    but the treacherous ^(C)are taken captive by their lust.
⁷ When the wicked dies, his ^(D)hope will perish,
    and ^(E)the expectation of wealth^[a] perishes too.
^8 (F)The righteous is delivered from trouble,
    and the wicked walks into it instead.

¹⁹ Whoever is steadfast in righteousness ^(A)will live,
    but ^(B)he who pursues evil will die.
²⁰ Those of ^(C)crooked heart are ^(D)an abomination to the Lord,
    but those of ^(E)blameless ways are ^(F)his delight.
^21 (G)Be assured, ^(H)an evil person will not go unpunished,
    but ^(I)the offspring of the righteous will be delivered.

²³ The desire of the righteous ends only in good,
    ^(A)the expectation of the wicked in wrath.
