^33 (A)The curse of the Lord is on the house of the wicked,
But ^(B)He blesses the home of the just.
^34 (C)Surely He scorns the scornful,
But gives grace to the humble.
³⁵ The wise shall inherit glory,
But shame shall be the legacy of fools.

^3 (A)The Lord will not allow the righteous soul to famish,
But He casts away the desire of the wicked.

^24 (A)The fear of the wicked will come upon him,
And ^(B)the desire of the righteous will be granted.
²⁵ When the whirlwind passes by, ^(C)the wicked is no more,
But ^(D)the righteous has an everlasting foundation.

²⁸ The hope of the righteous will be gladness,
But the ^(A)expectation of the wicked will perish.
²⁹ The way of the Lord is strength for the upright,
But ^(B)destruction will come to the workers of iniquity.

⁵ The righteousness of the blameless will ^[a]direct his way aright,
But the wicked will fall by his own ^(A)wickedness.
⁶ The righteousness of the upright will deliver them,
But the unfaithful will be caught by their lust.

¹⁹ As righteousness leads to ^(A)life,
So he who pursues evil pursues it to his own ^(B)death.
²⁰ Those who are of a perverse heart are an abomination to the Lord,
But the blameless in their ways are His delight.
^21 (C)Though they join ^[a]forces, the wicked will not go unpunished;
But ^(D)the posterity of the righteous will be delivered.
