¹¹ Do not despise the discipline of Yahweh, my child.
    Do not be weary of his reproof
¹² because whomever Yahweh will love, he will rebuke,
    as a father delights in his son.

⁴ Say to wisdom,^[a] “you are my sister,”
    and you shall call insight,^[b] “intimate friend.”^[c]

¹⁷ I love those who love me,^[a]
    and those who seek me diligently shall find me.

²¹ in order to endow those who love me with wealth,
    and I will fill their treasuries.

⁸ Do not rebuke a scoffer, lest he hate you;
    rebuke the wise and he will love you.

¹² Hatred stirs up strife,
    but love covers over all offenses.

²⁴ He who withholds his rod hates his child,
    but he who loves him gives him^[a] discipline.

²² Have they not erred, those who plan evil?
    But loyalty and faithfulness belong to those who plan good.

⁹ An abomination of Yahweh is the way of the wicked,
    but he who pursues righteousness he will love.

¹⁷ Better is a dinner of vegetables when^[a] love is there
    than a fattened ox and hatred with it.^[b]
