8 God protects the paths of those who pursue justice,
watching over the lives of those who keep faith with Him.
9 With this wisdom you will be able to choose the right road,
seek justice, and decide what is good and fair

20 I follow the way of right living.
Follow me along the path to find justice;
Proverbs 12:5
The Voice
5 The thoughts of the right-living tend toward justice,
but the guidance of the wicked is trickery and treachery.
Proverbs 13:23
The Voice
23 Though the fields of the poor yield a bumper crop
in a land without justice, it is stolen out from under them.
Proverbs 16:10-12
The Voice
10 The king makes a decision under divine inspiration,
but he must never render an unfair judgment.
11 The Eternal requires that business be conducted honestly;
He wants fairness in all your dealings.
12 When kings commit evil, it is despicable,
because their thrones should be built on justice.
Proverbs 17:15

15 Both of these deeply offend the Eternal:
one who acquits the guilty and one who condemns the innocent.

23 A wicked person accepts a bribe under the table
to derail the course of justice.

26 Also know this: It is wrong to penalize those who do what is right
or to lash the noble because of their integrity.
Proverbs 18:5

5 It is wrong for a judge to show partiality to the guilty
or to rob the innocent of justice.
Proverbs 19:28
The Voice
28 A worthless witness ridicules justice,
and the mouth of the wrongdoer savors every morsel of trouble.
Proverbs 21:3

3 To do what is right and to seek justice—
these please Him more than sacrifice.
Proverbs 21:7
The Voice
7 Wicked people will be swept up in their own violence
because they refuse to seek justice.
Proverbs 21:15

15 When justice is done, those who are in the right celebrate,
but those who make trouble are terrified.

8 Those who sow injustice reap disaster,
and their methods of oppression will fail.

22 Do not cheat poor people just because they are vulnerable
or use shady tactics in court to crush those already suffering;
Proverbs 24:11

11 Rescue everyone you can of those being taken away and killed,
and hold on to those innocent souls staggering toward their own slaughter.
Proverbs 25:5
The Voice
5 Take away the wicked from among the king’s advisors,
and his reign will be established with integrity.
Proverbs 28:5
The Voice
5 Evil people are not able to understand justice,
but those who pursue the Eternal understand it completely.
Proverbs 29:4
The Voice
4 A king brings stability to a land with his justice,
but one who makes unjust demands brings it to ruin.
Proverbs 29:26-27
The Voice
26 Many people vie for special treatment from a ruler,
yet genuine justice proceeds from the Eternal.
27 The right-living are disgusted by the actions of the unjust;
likewise, the wicked are disgusted by the ways of the righteous.
Proverbs 31:8-9
The Voice
8 Speak out on behalf of those who have no voice,
and defend all those who have been passed over.
9 Open your mouth, judge fairly,
and stand up for the rights of the afflicted and the poor.
