¹⁶ The ^[a](A)wages of the righteous is life,
The income of the wicked, punishment.

²⁰ The tongue of the righteous is as ^(A)choice silver,
The heart of the wicked is worth little.

²¹ The ^(A)lips of the righteous feed many,
But ignorant fools ^(B)die for lack of a heart of wisdom.

²⁴ What ^(A)the wicked dreads will come upon him,
But the ^(B)desire of the righteous will be granted.
²⁵ When the ^(C)whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more,
But the ^(D)righteous has an everlasting foundation.

²⁸ The ^(A)expectation of the righteous is gladness,
But the ^(B)hope of the wicked will perish.

³⁰ The ^(A)righteous will never be shaken,
But ^(B)the wicked will not dwell in the land.
³¹ The ^(C)mouth of the righteous bears wisdom,
But the tongue of ^(D)perversions will be cut out.
³² The lips of the righteous know ^(E)what is acceptable,
But the ^(F)mouth of the wicked ^[a]what is perverse.
