²⁰ So you will ^(A)walk in the way of good people
And keep to the ^(B)paths of the righteous.

³ The ^(A)integrity of the upright will guide them,
But the ^(B)perversity of the treacherous will destroy them.

⁶ The righteousness of the upright will rescue them,
But the treacherous will ^(A)be caught by their own greed.

¹⁷ A ^(A)merciful person does ^[a]himself good,
But the cruel person ^[b]does himself harm.

²⁷ One who diligently seeks good seeks favor,
But ^(A)one who seeks evil, evil will come to him.

³⁰ The fruit of the righteous is ^(A)a tree of life,
And ^(B)one who is wise ^[a]gains souls.

² A ^(A)good person will obtain favor from the Lord,
But He will condemn a person ^[a]who devises evil.

²² A good person ^(A)leaves an inheritance to his ^[a]grandchildren,
And the ^(B)wealth of a sinner is stored up for the righteous.
