Proverbs 29:18-27

¹⁸ Where there is no Revelation, the people cast off restraint. But he who keeps the Law is blessed.

¹⁹ A servant will not be chastised with words. Though he understands, he will still not answer.

²⁰ Do you see a man hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

²¹ He who pampers his servant from youth, will have him for a son in the end.

²² An angry man stirs up strife, and a furious man abounds in transgression.

²³ The pride of a man shall bring him low. But the humble in spirit shall enjoy glory.

²⁴ He who is partner with a thief hates his own soul. He hears cursing and does not declare it.

²⁵ The fear of man brings a snare. But he who trusts in the LORD shall be exalted.

²⁶ Many seek the face of the ruler. But every man’s judgment comes from the LORD.

²⁷ A wicked man is abomination to the just. And he who is upright in his way is abomination to the wicked. THE WORDS OF AGUR, THE SON OF JAKEH.
