than to be dishonest and rich.

⁶Better to be poor and walking in one’s integrity
than to be crooked of ways when one is rich.

¹⁹A hard worker has plenty of food,
but a person who chases fantasies ends up in poverty.

¹⁹He who tills his ground will have plenty bread,
but he who follows fantasies will have plenty of poverty.

²⁵Greed causes fighting;
trusting the Lord leads to prosperity.

²⁵The greedy person^[a] will stir up strife,
but he who trusts in Yahweh will be enriched.

²⁷Whoever gives to the poor will lack nothing,
but those who close their eyes to poverty will be cursed.

²⁷For he who gives to the poor, there is no lacking,
but for he^[a] who turns his eyes, there are many curses.
