⁶Better is the poor who walks in his uprightness
than he who is perverse in his ways, though he be rich.

American Standard Version

⁶Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity,
Than he that is ^[a]perverse in his ways, though he be rich.

¹⁹He who tills his land will have plenty of bread,
but he who follows after vain things will have poverty enough.

¹⁹He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread;
But he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough.

²⁵He who is of a proud heart stirs up strife,
but he who puts his trust in the Lord will prosper.

²⁵He that is of a greedy spirit stirreth up strife;
But he that putteth his trust in Jehovah shall be made fat.

²⁷He who gives to the poor will not lack,
but he who hides his eyes will have many a curse.

²⁷He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack;
But he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.
