Proverbs 28:11-13

International Standard Version

¹¹The rich man may be wise in his own opinion;
but a discerning, poor man sees through him.

¹²When the righteous are victorious, there is great glory,
but when the wicked arise, men hide themselves.

¹³Whoever hides his transgressions will not succeed,
but whoever confesses and forsakes them will find mercy.

¹¹The rich are wise in their own eyes;
one who is poor and discerning sees how deluded they are.

¹²When the righteous triumph, there is great elation;^(A)
but when the wicked rise to power, people go into hiding.^(B)

¹³Whoever conceals their sins^(C) does not prosper,
but the one who confesses^(D) and renounces them finds mercy.^(E)
