⁷ The Lord will grant that the enemies^(A) who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.^(B)

Of David.

² We had previously suffered^(A) and been treated outrageously in Philippi,^(B) as you know, but with the help of our God we dared to tell you his gospel in the face of strong opposition.^(C)

¹⁰ Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward^(A) Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees^(B) and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.^{(C) 11} Then these men went as a group and found Daniel praying and asking God for help.^(D)

¹³ When they saw the courage of Peter and John^(A) and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men,^(B) they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.^(C)
