Proverbs 27:17-21

¹⁷ Iron sharpens iron,
and one man sharpens another.^[a]

¹⁸ Whoever tends a fig tree^(A) will eat its fruit,^(B)
and whoever looks after his master will be honored.

¹⁹ As water reflects the face,
so the heart reflects the person.

²⁰ Sheol and Abaddon^(C) are never satisfied,^(D)
and people’s eyes are never satisfied.^(E)

²¹ A crucible for silver, and a smelter for gold,
and a man for the words of his praise.^[b](F)
