    and Yahweh will reward you.

²⁸ A breached city where there is no wall
    is like a man who has no^[a] self-control for his spirit.

⁴ Cruel is wrath and overwhelming is anger,
    but who will stand before jealousy?

⁸ Men of scoffing set a city aflame,
    but the wise turn away wrath.
⁹ If a wise man goes to court with a foolish man,
    then there is rankling and ridicule,^[a] but there is no relief.

¹¹ A fool gives all his breath,^[a]
    but the wise holds back in quiet.

²² A man of anger will stir strife,
    and the owner of anger, much transgression.

³² If you have been foolish by exalting yourself,
    and if you have devised evil, put your hand to your mouth.
³³ For pressing milk produces curd,
    and pressing the nose produces blood,
