(A)Thorns and snares are in the way of the crooked;
    whoever (B)guards his soul will keep far from them.
(C)Train up a child in the way he should go;
    even when he is old he will not depart from it.

    and the borrower is the slave of the lender.
Whoever (E)sows injustice will reap calamity,
    and (F)the rod of his fury will fail.

    for he (H)shares his bread with the poor.
10 (I)Drive out a scoffer, (J)and strife will go out,
    and (K)quarreling and abuse will cease.
11 He who (L)loves purity of heart,
    and whose (M)speech is gracious, (N)will have the king as his friend.
12 The eyes of the Lord keep watch over knowledge,
    but he (O)overthrows the words of the traitor.

    I shall be killed in the streets!”
