¹⁷ Let not your heart ^(A)envy sinners,
    but continue in ^(B)the fear of the Lord all the day.
¹⁸ Surely ^(C)there is a future,
    and your ^(D)hope will not be cut off.

⁵ Evil men ^(A)do not understand justice,
    but those who seek the Lord ^(B)understand it completely.

¹⁴ Blessed is the one who ^(A)fears the Lord^[a] always,
    but whoever ^(B)hardens his heart will fall into calamity.

^25 (A)The fear of man lays a snare,
    but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.
²⁶ Many ^(B)seek the face of a ruler,
    but it is from the Lord that a man ^(C)gets justice.
