⁴ A high look, and a proud heart,

²⁴ The proud and haughty man, scoffer is his name;
He worketh in the arrogance of pride.

⁴ The reward of humility and the fear of Jehovah
Is riches, and honor, and life.

²⁷ It is not good to eat much honey;
^[a]So for men to search out their own glory is grievous.

¹⁶ The sluggard is wiser in ^[a]his own conceit
Than seven men that can ^[b]render a reason.
