can avail against the Lord.

New International Version

³⁰There is no wisdom,^(A) no insight, no plan
that can succeed against the Lord.^(B)

¹⁶A ruler who ^(A)lacks understanding is a cruel oppressor,
but he who hates unjust gain will prolong his days.

¹⁶A tyrannical ruler practices extortion,
but one who hates ill-gotten gain will enjoy a long reign.
