^15 (A)Do not lie in wait, O wicked man, against the abode of the righteous;
Do not destroy his resting place;
¹⁶ For a ^(B)righteous man falls seven times, and rises again,
But the ^(C)wicked will stumble in ^[a]calamity.

28 The wicked ^(A)flee when there is no one pursuing,
But the righteous are ^[a]secure as a lion.

¹² When the ^(A)righteous exult, there is great honor,
But ^(B)when the wicked rise, man has to be sought out.

²⁸ When the wicked rise, men hide themselves;
But when they perish, the righteous increase.

² When the ^(A)righteous ^[a]increase, the people are glad,
But when a wicked man rules, people groan.

⁶ By transgression an evil man is ^(A)ensnared,
But the righteous ^(B)sings with joy and is glad.
⁷ The ^(C)righteous knows the cause of the poor,
The wicked does not understand that knowledge.
