¹⁵ The exercise of justice is joy for the righteous,
But ^(A)terror to those who practice injustice.

⁸ One who ^(A)sows injustice will reap disaster,
And the ^(B)rod of his fury will perish.

⁵ Take away the ^(A)wicked before the king,
And his ^(B)throne will be established in righteousness.

⁵ Evil people ^(A)do not understand justice,
But those who seek the Lord ^(B)understand everything.

⁴ The ^(A)king gives stability to the land by justice,
But a person who takes bribes ruins it.

^26 (A)Many seek the ruler’s ^[a]favor,
But ^(B)justice for mankind comes from the Lord.
²⁷ An ^(C)unjust person is an abomination to the righteous,
And one who is ^(D)upright in the way is an abomination to the wicked.

^8 (A)Open your mouth for the people who cannot speak,
For the ^[a]rights of all the ^[b]unfortunate.
⁹ Open your mouth, ^(B)judge righteously,
And ^[c]defend the ^(C)rights of the poor and needy.
