¹⁵ When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous
    but terror to evildoers.^(A)

¹⁶ Whoever strays from the path of prudence
    comes to rest in the company of the dead.^(A)

¹⁸ The wicked become a ransom^(A) for the righteous,
    and the unfaithful for the upright.

²¹ Whoever pursues righteousness and love
    finds life, prosperity^[a](A) and honor.^(B)

¹² The eyes of the Lord keep watch over knowledge,
    but he frustrates the words of the unfaithful.

¹⁰ Whoever leads the upright along an evil path
    will fall into their own trap,^(A)
    but the blameless will receive a good inheritance.

¹⁸ The one whose walk is blameless is kept safe,^(A)
    but the one whose ways are perverse will fall^(B) into the pit.^[a]

⁶ Evildoers are snared by their own sin,^(A)
    but the righteous shout for joy and are glad.
