⁷He who walks in his integrity is righteous;
happy are his children who follow him.

¹¹Even a child makes himself known by his doings,
whether his work is pure, and whether it is right.

¹¹Even by his acts, a young man^[a] will make himself known,
whether his acts are pure and upright.

³⁰Wounding blows cleanse away evil,
and beatings purge the innermost parts.

³⁰The blows of a wound will cleanse evil,
as will^[a] beatings of the innermost part.^[b]
